Frequently Asked Questions About Comfort Keepers Home Care Solutions in Stockton, Tracy, CA and the Surrounding Areas

Answers to the most common questions concerning home care solutions and services in Tracy, CA

What is home care? How is it different from home healthcare?

Home care is a term that refers to care provided for a client in their home. It typically includes non-medical services such as personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation. Home healthcare is used to describe medical services such as physical therapy.

What services does Comfort Keepers® provide?

Comfort Keepers offers many in home care solutions that allow seniors to keep their independence at home, ranging from mobility assistance, medication reminders, and meal planning to running errands and transportation. We can also cater to the needs of seniors with any form of dementia, individuals with incurable or progressive illnesses, and older adults recovering from an illness or injury. Our specialized care services include respite care as well. For added peace of mind, we also offer technology solutions for improving home safety and security.

How are Comfort Keepers® selected?

At Comfort Keepers, we choose to work with only the best caregivers. After applying for our open positions, we check each candidate's background and references. Those who pass our checks are invited to a series of interviews. The most successful candidates are welcomed into our team. All our care providers are bonded, insured, and covered by Workers' Compensation insurance.

How much does senior care cost?

As we offer many different home care solutions, the price of care depends on the type of care, number of hours of care provided, and special care needs. Since each care plan is developed on an individual basis, it is best to contact our office and schedule a free in-home consultation where our care coordinators will give you more accurate financial information.

Are services available 24 hours, 7 days a week?

Yes, our home care solutions can be provided 24/7/365.

Do you provide services to those in nursing homes or assisted living communities?

Yes. We can accommodate the needs of seniors in nursing homes or assisted living communities with personal care, companionship, and other specialized services.

Is there a written plan of care for each client? Can it be modified?

Yes, every client gets a unique written care plan with an established schedule of care and other information such as monitoring and communication. The plans are build based on our clients' age, needs, interests, personalities, and other factors. All care plans can be modified at any time, but even if the client does not request any changes, we review the plans once in every six months to make sure the best possible service is provided.

What if my caregiver is sick or on vacation?

If your loved one's caregiver is sick or on vacation, you do not need to worry. All our caregivers are trained to provide all the home care solutions we offer, so we are more than equipped to find your parent or relative an adequate replacement.

What are ADLs and IADLs?

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are basic daily tasks like bathing, eating, toileting, and mobility. Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) are tasks that are a bit more complex like housekeeping, laundry, running errands, and shopping.
