Our team of personal care aides is made up of caring, skilled professionals who serve Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding areas

If you would like to make a career out of supporting older adults in living a healthy, safe, and happy life at home, you should consider becoming a personal care aide whit Comfort Keepers. Our caregivers or Comfort Keepers are passionate about making a difference in the lives of senior citizens and committed to providing them with the high-quality care they deserve.

In order to work as a Comfort Keeper, you must pass our comprehensive screening process which consists of a criminal background, driving record, and personal reference check. Additionally, you must complete our extensive training program and continue to educate yourself on senior care through continuing education classes.

If you choose to work as a personal care aide with us, you will be an employee rather than a contractor. This means that you will be bonded, insured, and backed by worker’s compensation insurance to give you, your senior clients, and their families peace of mind.

As a Comfort Keeper home caregiver, you will assist older adults with duties like bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and other with basic tasks that are essential for daily living. You’ll also act as a companion and support them with activities that will enable them to live a higher quality of life. Some of these activities include grocery shopping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and incidental transportation to doctor’s appointments, errands, social events, and anywhere else they may need to go.

Once a client care coordinator meets with a senior client, they will determine how many hours of care they may need as well as what types of services make sense for their specific situation. You may find that some of your older clients need care for a few hours a week, part-time, full-time, or 24 hours a day.

As a home caregiver, you will enjoy the benefits of waking up each morning knowing that you are making a significant difference in the life of an older adult. The bond that you form with your senior clients will bring you a great deal of happiness and satisfaction for years to come.
