Requirements to Be a Caregiver
To work as a Comfort Keeper, you must pass our comprehensive screening process, consisting of a criminal background, driving record, and personal reference check. Additionally, you must complete our extensive training program and educate yourself on senior care through continuing education classes.
If you choose to work as a personal care aide with us, you will be an employee rather than a contractor. This means that you will be bonded, insured, and backed by worker’s compensation insurance to give you, your senior clients, and their families peace of mind.
What Our Comfort Keepers Do
As a caregiver with Comfort Keepers, you will assist older adults with duties like bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and other basic tasks that are essential for daily living. You’ll also act as a companion and support them with activities that will enable them to live a higher quality of life. Some of these activities include grocery shopping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and incidental transportation to doctor’s appointments, errands, social events, and anywhere else they may need to go.
