The skilled and caring team of Comfort Keepers of Philadelphia offers a comprehensive range of in-home care services for seniors and other adult clients in and around Philadelphia, Levittown, Bala Cynwynd and Feasterville, Pennsylvania.

We find great satisfaction in providing quality in-home senior care that helps older adults preserve their independence in the comfort of their own homes—where they most want to remain, in the neighborhood and community where they have developed important connections and attachment.

A Team Approach

We offer families the wealth of our experience and skill in senior caregiving so they don’t have to go it alone when providing care for a loved one. Families come to us for advice and count on Comfort Keepers to share with them caregiving responsibilities.

We allow families to take as active a role in their loved one’s care as they are able. Families who take an active day-to-day caregiving role appreciate our respite care service, in which a Comfort Keeper is scheduled to provide them a break from caregiving. Family caregivers can go to work, take time off for rest and relaxation or attend to other responsibilities with the peace of mind that their loved one is receiving excellent care.

Regardless of a family’s level of caregiving involvement, Comfort Keepers maintains excellent communication, keeping family members fully informed of their loves ones’ care, status and need for changes in care.

Comfort Keepers are at the core of the Comfort Keepers team and are what make Comfort Keepers unique among in-home care providers. They possess a genuine concern for the well-being of seniors and regard caregiving as their life’s calling and passion – not as a job.

They are joined on the Comfort Keepers team by:

• Carol McGowan, BSN, RN - General Manager
  Carol oversees all aspects of ensuring the quality of caregivers and client care delivery. She was born in Philadelphia and has more than 25 years of nursing experience in retirement communities, hospitals and in-home care.
• Kimberly Kimbrough, B.S, M.A - Operations Manager
  Kim takes care of scheduling and staffing caregivers with clients, ensuring the right match of personalities, and skills. She brings a great deal of home health expertise and knowledge to this position as the past CEO of her own private duty and Home Care company.
• Stephen Evans – Finance Manager
  Stephen is currently in charge of the integrity of client billing and coordinates with long term care carriers and private insurers. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Stephen has been a Sodexo employee for more than 30 years and possesses a wealth of health care experience.
• Karen Laird-Dawkins, BA - Human Resources Manager
  Karen oversees all aspects of recruiting, hiring and retaining senior caregivers from the greater Philadelphia community. She has prior experience in health care recruiting and has worked in Human Resources for more than 15 years.
