Senior Care in Racine, Wisconsin

Comfort Keepers® of Racine, Wisconsin, helps seniors live happily, confidently and independently in the comfort of home.

And our professional, compassionate caregivers – our Comfort Keepers – also offer seniors’ families the confidence that their loved one is in safe, capable care when they are not able to be there.

We give families the freedom to be as involved in their loved one’s in-home care as they are able. We are here to help seniors and their families, from as little as one hour a week to full-time, 24/7 senior care.

To learn how Comfort Keepers can help you, call us for a free in-home assessment. From this assessment you can find out if Comfort Keepers is the solution for you. In addition, from this meeting, we can develop a customized plan of elder care to address your specific care needs.

Once we begin serving a client and family, we regularly review the plan of home care and modify it to address the client’s changing needs. To provide our clients a complete care solution, we partner with a network of other senior and health care providers. These partners include home health agencies, hospice, nursing homes and assisted living.

What Sets Comfort Keepers Apart

Comfort Keepers of Racine, Wisconsin, offers a distinctive brand of in-home care. Here is what makes us different from other home care providers:

  • Our Comfort Keepers. We carefully screen people who apply to become a Comfort Keeper. We hire only those who have a genuine concern and gift for serving seniors—for whom home care is not a job but a calling. We look for the kind of people we would like to care for our own parents.  We begin our screening process with a phone interview to narrow the candidate pool, then conduct face-to-face interviews and reference and background checks.
  • Extensive training completed by our Comfort Keepers before they begin caring for clients. This training prepares them to deliver Comfort Keepers’ distinctive and effective brand of in-home care, Interactive Caregiving™ (explained next). To maintain superior skills, Comfort Keepers complete ongoing training throughout their service. We also provide specialized training for Comfort Keepers who serve clients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
  • Interactive Caregiving™ is a philosophy and style of in-home care in which Comfort Keepers engage their clients physically, mentally, socially and emotionally as they provide companionship and personal care services. They do this by interspersing in a variety of activities that enrich their clients’ lives during daily care services. Interactive Caregiving™ activities may include a walk in the park, enjoying seniors’ cherished hobbies, conversation and reminiscing, puzzles, cooking, visits with friends and trips to church and other favorite places. This approach to senior care has been proven to improve seniors’ independence and quality of life.
  • Technology Solutions through SafetyChoice® by Comfort Keepers help seniors live safely and independently at home between caregivers’ visits. See “Comfort Keepers Services” below for more information.

Yet another feature of our services that contributes to our success is our method of carefully matching Comfort Keepers with clients, based on personality, personal interests and the client’s special care needs.
