About Comfort Keepers of Waukesha and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Our compassionate, professional caregivers—whom we call Comfort Keepers—serve seniors and their families in the Waukesha, Oconomowoc, Mukwonago and Lake Geneva areas.  They deliver Comfort Keepers’ unique brand of caregiving—Interactive Caregiving™—which engages seniors physically, mentally, emotionally and socially, elevating their level of independence and quality of life.

Comfort Keepers also encourage and support our clients’ families, helping them with the responsibility of caring for a loved one, providing needed breaks, or respite, from daily caregiving and helping them realize the fulfillment that comes from caring for a loved one.

Our Senior Care Mission

Robert Soerens, owner of the Waukesha Comfort Keepers franchise, is grateful to own a business that is wholly dedicated to enriching the lives of senior citizens and their families. Before joining Comfort Keepers, Soerens also considered other franchises. But he was drawn to Comfort Keepers and its philosophy and high standards that attract quality individuals motivated by a desire to help others.

He especially believes in Comfort Keepers’ brand of compassionate in-home care and its thorough system of screening, hiring and training caregivers—selecting only candidates that franchise owners would feel comfortable caring for their own loved one. In fact, Soerens’ grandmother is one of the Waukesha franchise’s clients.

Comfort Keepers of Waukesha, Wisconsin, has two primary purposes:

  • Provide senior citizens and other adults the assistance to continue living independently at home, happily, healthfully and safely
  • Partner with families, helping them provide their loved ones the best in-home care possible. Comfort Keepers gives families the peace of mind that their loved one is getting the best care while they are away at work or attending to other responsibilities.

The In-Home Care Advantage

With Comfort Keepers you are assured of being served by compassionate, carefully selected, well-trained caregivers. We choose our Comfort Keepers through a rigorous screening and hiring process, followed by customized and ongoing training.

We screen candidates to find those who demonstrate a genuine respect and concern for seniors and their desire to maintain an independent lifestyle at home—qualities that shine through to brighten their clients’ lives. We hire only individuals we would feel comfortable sending to our own loved ones’ homes. Comfort Keepers are better suited, qualified and prepared for in-home care than any other caregivers you will find.

In selecting Comfort Keepers we screen candidates through an initial phone interview, before scheduling face-to-face interviews. In addition, we Conduct background and reference checks.

Once hired, our Comfort Keepers complete extensive orientation and training to prepare them to deliver Comfort Keepers’ special brand of caregiving. To maintain and enhance their caregiving skills, Comfort Keepers complete ongoing training throughout their career with us.

Our special brand of caregiving—Interactive Caregiving™— engages seniors in the midst of day-to-day caregiving services. Through Interactive Caregiving™, Comfort Keepers provide their clients purpose and enrich their lives through a variety of activities that help them get more out of life, physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. These activities, based on each client’s interests and capabilities, may include favorite pastimes, walks around the neighborhood, puzzles, conversation and reminiscing, visits with friends, trips to church and other favorite places, shopping and cooking.

To further assure the success of Comfort Keepers, we carefully match each client and Comfort Keeper based on personality, personal interests, needs and skills, and experience.
