Comfort Keepers® offers a free in-home assessment to help you determine whether Comfort Keepers is right for you. This assessment helps us create a customized home care plan especially for your family. It also helps us match your loved one with the most appropriate Comfort Keeper, based on their personalities and interests, your loved one’s special needs and the Comfort Keeper’s training and skills. For example, if we discover that a client likes to cook, we find a Comfort Keeper who shares that interest. Good matches contribute significantly to our success of delivering compassionate, professional elder care.

To provide clients and their families a complete care solution, Comfort Keepers of Secaucus, New Jersey, is able to partner with a network of local health and senior care organizations, such as home health care agencies, adult day care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals and hospice.

Our Independent Living Services

Comfort Keepers of Secaucus, New Jersey, offers a wide range of in-home services to meet the needs of seniors who want to continue living as independently as possible at home. These services extend throughout North Bergen, West New York, Bloomfield, Montclair, Secaucus and surrounding New Jersey areas, including:

• Companionship Care—such as conversation, meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry, errands, and incidental transportation.
• Personal Care—such as hands-on assistance with bathing, hair and skin care, shaving, special diet preparation, toileting and transferring/ambulation.
• Comfort Keepers’ SafetyChoice® Technology Solutions.  Monitored by professionals at our SafetyChoice Centralized Monitoring Station, these home safety devices help seniors stay safe at home when family caregivers or Comfort Keepers are not present. SafetyChoice® devices include a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS), which allows seniors to call for help 24 hours a day with the touch of a button; a fall detector, which clips to a client’s clothing; and a Medication Management System that reminds seniors to take their medications, dispenses the drugs as prescribed and alerts caregivers when a dose is missed.
• Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care and Memory Care is provided by Comfort Keepers experienced and trained in meeting the special needs of persons with the symptoms of dementia. Comfort Keepers provide activities, such as music and reminiscing, to stimulate the client’s senses and mind and improve quality of life.
• Post-Hospital Care and Support to help clients as they recover at home from injury, illness or surgery.
• Hospice Care, non-medical in-home services that supplement and support care provided by a hospice provider.
• Stroke recovery to help clients with day-to-day activities in the home.
