• We employ our caregivers; we do not use contract employees. Unlike many agencies that are basically employment registers, Comfort Keepers caregivers are our employees.  We rigorously screen all employees for previous criminal, credit, and driving records.  In addition, all of our employees are bonded, insured, and are covered by Workers' Compensation. Worker's compensation is important to you, our client!  Most homeowners' policies do not cover a caregiver injury while they are on the client's property.  Because we employ our caregivers and they are insured and covered by Workers' Compensation, our clients and their families can rest easy.  

• Training is a priority. Our caregivers receive continuous training throughout the year to ensure we are providing the best possible care for our clients.

• We use a “state-of-the-art” scheduling and tracking system. If a caregiver is absent, we know immediately and are able to contact the client and/or the family and provide a replacement caregiver.

• We go “above and beyond” every single day. We register our clients on a priority basis for emergencies, such as hurricanes or floods. If an area needs to be evacuated, we know which clients need assistance in moving to a safe place. Comfort Keepers contacts the appropriate parties to ensure our clients are cared for at all times, including emergency situations. Our job is a serious one and we treat it accordingly.
