As the aging population continues to grow – the U.S. Census Bureau projects over 88 million people age 65 and older in the U.S. by 2050 – memory loss and dementia in seniors are posing major public health burdens and it’s often difficult for relatives to monitor that aging family members are getting the level of stimulation and socialization they want and need.  In addition to the elderly, many people are injured, ill or disabled and require help with day-to-day activities and local residents are all too familiar with this.

To address the needs of the aging population, I opened Comfort Keepers in Arcadia.  My office helps seniors throughout the San Gabriel Valley to maintain their independence in the comfort of their homes. 

I decided to join the Comfort Keepers because of their reputation for quality, their people and innovative programs.  I especially appreciate their philosophy for interactive caregiving, which helps seniors maintain their purpose and dignity.  When my father was suffering from dementia and Parkinson’s Disease, I would have loved to have hired a Comfort Keepers caregiver to help with his care. It’s not too late to help others and it’s a wonderful feeling to know that you can help families get respite or help their loved ones stay active and healthy.
