The Flemington-Washington NJ Comfort Keepers® Offices are Honored to Serve Our Nation’s Veterans and Surviving Spouses
We feel privileged to care for local Flemington and Washington veterans who served our nation as well as their spouses who made their own personal sacrifice. A Flemington-Washington Comfort Keepers representative will work closely with a veteran, spouse or family member to complete the “Veterans Administration Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit” application. There is no charge for this assistance. If approved the pension payments are made directly to the veteran or surviving spouse.

We have developed an “Aid and Attendance” worksheet that can be used to gather the information and documents that are needed to complete an application in the Flemington or Washington, NJ area. In addition we will help obtain any missing documents as well as the required medical statements. The VA also offers a Homemaker/Home Health Aide Program and an In-Home Respite Program. These services are coordinated by one of the regional VA offices. If a veteran qualifies for either of these services they may request that the certified aide be provided by our local Comfort Keepers.
Who Qualifies for our Veteran Long Term care in the home?

The specific qualifications and application process can vary based upon the type of assistance being provided by the VA to the veteran or surviving spouse. In many cases a veteran will qualify even if they did not have any sort of service connected disability. In general a veteran must have an honorable or general discharge, have served on active duty for at least 90 consecutive days during specified time periods that define World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War and the Iraq/Afghanistan Conflict.
