About Comfort Keepers®

Since 2005, families throughout Central New Hampshire and the Lakes region have experienced the peace of mind knowing that their loved ones have been cared for through the in-home services offered by Comfort Keepers.  Comfort Keepers is operated from Campton by husband and wife, Matt Kizer and Maundy Mitchell.   They have an office at I-93 exit 28 from which, with the help of a skilled office staff, they coordinate care for clients throughout central New Hampshire and the Lakes Region.  In 2010, they opened a second office at 30 Bank Street in Lebanon.

Since opening their Campton office in 2005, Kizer and Mitchell have experienced rapid growth and now have a large staff of caregivers who provide care to seniors in their homes, or even in assisted living or other senior living facilities. Their office has earned national recognition for client and employee satisfaction.  In a recent customer satisfaction survey, they received a response of 100% who would recommend Comfort Keepers services.

Comfort Keepers is an international franchise that provides in-home services for seniors and those recovering from illness or injury.  However, each office is independently owned and operated. The franchise model has allowed the couple to combine the community-mindedness of a small-town, family-owned business, with the tried-and-true wisdom developed since 1997 by over 600 offices.  Kizer’s sister worked with the very first Comfort Keepers office in Ohio in 1997, and is still with them today.   It was this family connection, along with a desire to serve the community, that drew the couple into this service in originally.

“We have been honored to provide dependable and compassionate caregiving services to hundreds of families throughout Central New Hampshire and the Lakes Region.  It is only natural that people want to stay in their own homes, whether they are a senior who needs assistance or someone who is recovering from an illness or injury.  Family members do as much as they can, but the reality is that they have busy lives,” said Maundy Mitchell.

The need for personal caregivers throughout the United States is greater today then at any other point in history. The U.S. Census projected the number of seniors in New Hampshire alone to increase 28% between 2005 and 2015. This means an increasing number of families are facing the overwhelming responsibility of caring for aging loved ones.

“Our goal is to provide seniors and their families choices in where a senior lives.  Even if a senior calls an assisted living facility home, we can provide a level of companionship and service that goes a long way to preserve their quality of life. "
