A Comprehensive Range of Independent Living Services

Comfort Keepers of Huntington Beach offers a wide range of in-home care options that can be customized to provide just the right types and amount of care needed to maintain an independent lifestyle in the comfort of home. We can schedule as little as three hours of service a week to full-time, 24-hour care—whatever is needed. Our services include:
Companionship Care. This includes conversation, light housekeeping and laundry, meal preparation, errands, incidental transportation, help with grooming and dressing, medication reminders and standby assistance with bathing.
Personal Care. This includes hands-on assistance with bathing, shaving, hair care, preparation of special diet, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and skin care.
SafetyChoice® Technology Solutions. Comfort Keepers’ own brand of technology-based in-home care solutions, SafetyChoice® complements and extends senior care services by enabling clients to live safely and independently at home when a Comfort Keeper or family caregiver isn’t present. These include:
Personal Emergency Response System (PERS), a 24-hour medical alert unit that is monitored by a central call center. At the touch of a button on a pendant or wristband, a senior can immediately summon help in a time of emergency, such as a fall or illness.
PERS Accessories, also monitored by the central call center, include smoke and carbon monoxide detectors; wireless floor mats that monitor movement of seniors such as those at risk of falling or prone to wander due to dementia; motion detectors; and door and window contacts.
Medication Management, which provides seniors audible reminders to take medications. The system also dispenses medicine as prescribed and notifies caregivers when a dose is missed.
Fall Detector, a device that clips to a senior’s clothing and alerts the central monitoring station when the senior falls.
Post-Hospital Care and Support to help newly-discharged patients recover at home after surgery, injury or illness.
Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care. This care is provided by Comfort Keepers who have completed special training that prepares them with an in-depth understanding of how to communicate with, respond to, and care for persons with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related conditions.
