In-Home Care Without Equal

Comfort Keepers' care stands out from other in-home elder care in very fundamental ways that enrich the lives of seniors and other adults who need help at home:

  • Genuine Caregivers. Comfort Keepers have a natural gift for caregiving. They care from the heart, providing their clients the loving care they would give a family member of their own.

We provide Comfort Keepers extensive training in caregiving skills, but they already possess the desire, talent and caring nature to serve seniors. Our thorough recruiting and screening process is designed to find people with these qualities.

To become a Comfort Keeper, candidates must pass criminal background, motor vehicle record, and personal and business reference checks. They also go through extensive interviews and testing.

Before they care for their first client, Comfort Keepers complete orientation, training, and professional development.  And all caregivers complete continuing education and training each year to further broaden and strengthen their skills.

As a result, Comfort Keepers are the best trained caregivers you’ll find anywhere. And it’s why a growing number of families—even those who live hundreds of miles away—put their faith in Comfort Keepers to provide the best care for their loved ones.

  • Interactive Caregiving®.  This is Comfort Keepers’ trademark style of in-home elder care. Through Interactive Caregiving®, Comfort Keepers actively engage their clients in day-to-day caregiving to help strengthen their independence and enhance their enjoyment of life.

As a part of this, Comfort Keepers also regularly involve their clients in activities that keep them physically, mentally and socially engaged in life. These activities, planned according to each client’s interests and abilities, include physical activities, such as taking walks or dancing; mental activities, such as stimulating conversation, solving puzzles, engaging in hobbies, and playing board or card games; and social activities, such as visiting friends, attending cultural events, and going places, such as church, shopping or a senior center.

Interactive Caregiving® was developed based on research that has shown the role of active and engaged living in improving the physical, mental and emotional health of seniors.

  • Caregiver-Client Matches. We enhance the effectiveness of Comfort Keepers' care by carefully matching each client with a caregiver, based on their personalities, interests, specific care needs and special skills.

The Complete Care Solution

By developing and maintaining partnerships with other senior and health care providers in the region, Comfort Keepers offers seniors and their families a complete elder care solution. We have developed partnerships with assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health and hospice care agencies, and others.

Comfort Keepers not only cares for seniors. We also care for other adults who need assistance at home: new moms, people recovering at home from surgery, accidents or illness, and others with specific in-home care needs.

Our prime concern is helping our clients achieve the highest possible quality of life and well-being in the comfort of home.

We Partner with Families

At Comfort Keepers we leave it up to each family how involved they wish to be in their loved one’s day-to-day care. We realize that in many cases families live far apart, so Comfort Keepers is prepared to take a greater role in caregiving and to keep family members updated on their loved one’s care and status. We offer families peace of mind.

For families who play a more active role in their loved one’s care, we offer respite care. Through respite care, we schedule Comfort Keepers as needed to allow family caregivers time to rest up from their caregiving responsibilities, to go to work or take care of other matters.
