About Our Las Vegas Home Care
Lonnie and Gina Jolliff established Comfort Keepers® of Henderson and Las Vegas in 2004. In Lonnie’s former career as a police officer and detective, Lonnie discovered seniors in the community who needed assistance at home. He finds that seniors are happier living at home, and thrive in familiar surroundings, so long as they have help from a senior caregiver to ensure their physical, mental and emotional health and safety.
Gina has a passion for serving seniors which developed growing up as the youngest child in her family. She was always in an adult world and feels a kinship with older people. The Jolliffs look for this same kind of heartfelt passion and dedication to elder care in the caregivers they hire as Comfort Keepers.
The Jolliffs find that their senior care clients seem to grow younger once they begin receiving Comfort Keepers care. They become more engaged in life, begin doing more for themselves and become more optimistic, stronger and healthier. Lonnie and Gina’s mission is to help seniors live happy, healthy lives in the comfort of their own homes.
The Comfort Keepers Team
The Henderson and Las Vegas Comfort Keepers team has a genuine concern for improving the lives of seniors. To our team, in-home elder care is more than a job or a business; it is our calling. In addition to our compassionate caregivers, the Comfort Keepers team includes:
- Lonnie Jolliff, Owner. Through his leadership and direction he assures that every aspect of the care we provide reflects Comfort Keepers’ high standards of in-home senior care. He promotes Comfort Keepers care throughout our service area and builds and maintains partnerships with other elder care and health care providers so seniors and their families have a full spectrum of convenient care options available to them as their needs change.
- Gina Jolliff, Owner/Administrator. Through her special passion for families struggling with Alzheimer’s and dementia, she has been a member of the Regional Leadership Council of our local Alzheimer’s Association since its inception in 2006. In July of 2008 she was appointed to the Senior Citizens’ Advisory Commission for the city of Henderson. Most recently, in 2010 she became certified as a Geriatric Care Manager. It is in this role she feels she can make the most difference by advocating for the senior community, especially those struggling with dementia related conditions.
- Arlene Heine, Office Manager. Arlene Heine has been a member of the Comfort Keepers team since January 2011 and is currently our Office Manager. She has several years of office experience in the healthcare field. Her passion for helping people stems from her aunt and uncle who helped in raising her. By their example of kindness and generosity, they instilled in her the desire to give to others in need.
- Pam Bordner, Client Care Coordinator. In 1992, upon finding out her mother had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Pam headed home where she was blessed to provide the care for her parents for the nine years preceding their passing. It was during this time Pam became a Certified Nursing Assistant and found her true passion in the Health Care field. She has worked in the hospital environment for the past 18 years and has been at St. Rose Siena for the past 12 years and has been with our Comfort Keepers family for almost 4 years.
