Clearfield, Pennsylvania Comfort Keepers®

Our Philosophy of Care

Comfort Keepers’ in-home care services are built on a unique concept called Interactive Caregiving®. This approach, which differentiates Comfort Keepers, engages clients in their adult and senior care through a combination of physical activity, mental stimulation, emotional support and social engagement. This mix of activity promotes better health and independence—and elevates quality of life.

As they provide homemaking and personal senior care services, Comfort Keepers converse with clients. They also engage with clients in hobbies and puzzles, go on walks, take them to church, shopping trips or social events.

The Interactive Caregiving care philosophy is supported by research as a way to promote seniors’ health and well-being.

Over the past decade, Comfort Keepers has earned its reputation as the premiere provider of quality nonmedical in-home care. Our services—including companionship, personal care and home safety and technology—can be tailored to meet the specific and changing needs of each client. We also work in tandem with outside organizations, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health care agencies, and hospice.

Our Comfort Keepers®

Compassion and a commitment to quality homecare are some of the most essential characteristics we look for when we’re hiring Comfort Keepers. These are essential to the Comfort Keepers philosophy of Interactive Caregiving™. Caregiving skills can be learned, but compassion comes from the heart.

For the safety of our clients and their families, Comfort Keepers candidates undergo extensive background checks. These include local and national criminal checks. Also for our clients’ and their families’ peace-of-mind, we bond and insure our Comfort Keepers and each is covered by Workers’ Compensation Insurance.

Before they begin serving clients, we make sure our Comfort Keepers are prepared to deliver quality senior care. We provide them extensive training so they provide the highest quality of service possible. And after they’re on the job, they complete ongoing training to maintain and enhance their in-home care skills.

You can call Comfort Keepers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Someone is always in the office to answer your call. Also, you may schedule a Comfort Keeper for as few or as many hours as you or your loved one need. We can provide full-time senior care, just a few hours a week to give family members a break, or any amount of service in between. We can work with you to tailor and schedule the home care to meet your exact needs. To help determine your needs, we provide free in-home assessments.

Clients’ needs will change. Our Client Care Coordinators, working with our Comfort Keepers, keep family members informed of any changes we observe and concerns we may have about their loved one. Always striving to provide the most appropriate level of in-home care to promote clients’ quality of life and independence, we stay in communication with families to adjust their loved ones’ plans of adult or senior care when needed.
