Senior Care in Gainesville, Ga
Comfort Keepers® of Gainesville, Georgia, makes home the ideal place for seniors and other adult clients to continue living as safely, independently and healthfully as possible. We tailor services, from nonmedical home care to home health care nursing, to provide the assistance necessary to promote independent living.
We can provide from four hours of care a week to 24/7 or live-in care—whatever a client and family need.
Comfort Keepers Advantages
Comfort Keepers offers the leading brand of in-home elder care, surpassing the quality and effectiveness of other home care providers. Here’s what sets our services apart from the rest:
- Our caregivers: Comfort Keepers caregivers—Comfort Keepers—are the best available because we set high standards in recruiting, screening and hiring. We hire only candidates who are experienced in senior caregiving and have demonstrated a true concern for helping seniors maintain a high quality of independent living.
About 90% of Comfort Keepers come to us as certified nursing assistants. Regardless of our caregivers’ experience, we provide them all extensive training in our special brand of caregiving. Once hired, they also complete annual training to enhance their skills.
Our caregivers routinely go the extra mile to provide exceptional care for our clients. For example, two Comfort Keepers from our franchise drove more than 100 miles and, as a hurricane approached our region, stayed overnight before the bad weather was expected to reach an Alzheimer’s client who would have been alone during the storm. - Interactive Caregiving®: Comfort Keepers’ exclusive brand of senior care, Interactive Caregiving®, keeps clients engaged and involved in their own caregiving to enhance their level of independence. In addition, Comfort Keepers regularly involve their clients in a wide variety of activities to promote their physical, mental and emotional well-being. These activities include walking, mentally-stimulating pursuits such as puzzle solving, playing games and hobbies, and social activities such as visiting with friends and going to concerts, social clubs, church or shopping.
- We match clients and caregivers: Based on compatibility of personalities and interests, as well as care needs and caregiving skills, we match new clients with Comfort Keepers. We know from experience that this practice leads to beneficial client-caregiver relationships that enhance the effectiveness of our care in promoting independence, and our clients feel a greater sense of comfort throughout the caregiving experience.
- We employ our caregivers: We maintain greater control over the quality of our caregivers as their employer. Also as employer, we—and neither our clients nor their families—are responsible for bonding and insuring our Comfort Keepers in addition to paying payroll taxes and workers’ compensation (this is a significant advantage for clients and their families as most homeowners’ policies don’t cover injuries of caregivers while in a client’s home). Another advantage we offer: We conduct a rigorous screening process, checking the criminal and driving records of all candidates, before hiring them.
- Our scheduling and tracking system: This high-tech system can detect when a caregiver is absent or late within 7 minutes and notifies us to quickly find a replacement caregiver.
A Senior Care Partner for Families
Families appreciate the support Comfort Keepers provides them. We allow them to take as active a role as they wish in their loved one’s care, and we provide them as much caregiving assistance as they need.
Comfort Keepers provides respite care services for families who are actively involved in caregiving. Through respite care, we provide a Comfort Keeper as needed to relieve a family caregiver so he or she can get rest from the demands of caregiving, go to work, or take care of other responsibilities.
The Home Care Services of Comfort Keepers

- Companionship Care. As Comfort Keepers provide clients comforting companionship and conversation, they also provide needed assistance with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation and diet support, laundry, help with dressing and grooming, medication reminders and management, errands, and transportation.

- SafetyChoice® Technology Solutions, which are electronic devices that complement caregiving by assuring seniors’ safety between a caregiver’s in-home visits. Comfort Keepers’ monitoring center monitors these devices 24/7. The devices include a personal emergency response system, which enables seniors to quickly call for help with the push of a button, and a medication management device that provides seniors reminders to take their medicine and alerts caregivers when a dose is missed.
- Post-Hospital Care and Support that helps clients recover at home following surgery or hospital care of an illness or injury.
- Hospice Care Support, which consists of companionship and personal care services provided by Comfort Keepers in partnership with nursing services provided by a hospice agency.
- Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care, provided by specially trained Comfort Keepers, allows seniors and other clients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia to continue living safely at home. Comfort Keepers help clients’ families make home a safe, nurturing place for their loved ones at various stages of dementia. Comfort Keepers partner with family caregivers to share caregiving responsibilities and provide reassuring support.
Unlike many home care providers, our franchise accepts Medicaid and VA benefits as payment.
