About Our Home Care
Before founding the Franklin, Blairsville and Gainesville Comfort Keepers® franchise in 2004, Dr. Bruce and Zoe King owned a management consulting firm for 30 years. They decided, after their children grew up and left home, it was time for a career change. They wanted to give back to their community which had provided so much.
They started researching franchise opportunities to find the right fit, in which they could practice their business skills while improving the lives of others. The perfect opportunity, they discovered, was Comfort Keepers, with its emphasis on making a significant, positive difference in the lives of older adults who want to maintain their independence at home.
Every day with Comfort Keepers makes them more convinced they made the right choice. They continue to be amazed by the tremendous difference Comfort Keepers elder care makes in improving seniors’ quality of life.
The Comfort Keepers Team
Our office management team oversees and supports the work of our compassionate and talented team of Comfort Keepers, who daily enrich the lives of the seniors in their care. Our team includes:
- Dr. Bruce and Zoe King, Franchise Owners. As the owners of the franchise, they provide overall direction and make certain that all aspects of the franchise stay true to Comfort Keepers superior brand of in-home elder care. To make certain that more seniors and their families are aware of Comfort Keepers—and can benefit from it—they work hard to market their services and build and maintain referral relationships with health and senior care providers in the region.
- Teresa Sosebee, General Manager. Teresa previously worked at Lipton/Pepsico in a variety of positions ranging from sales and customer service to accounting. As General Manager, she is responsible for the management of Comfort Keepers operations in both Georgia and North Carolina.
- Misty Havard, Operations Manager. Misty comes to Comfort Keepers from a background in newspaper advertising sales. Responsible for all the day to day office operations of her staff, Misty manages all billing, client care technology, and office operations. Perhaps most importantly, she is the go-to person for client management, responding to requests and client concerns.
- Lisa Smith, Marketing Manager. Lisa comes to us after a 15 year stint as the Activities Director at several different nursing homes in Georgia and Florida. As Marketing Manager, Lisa develops, manages and evaluates Comfort Keepers marketing and outreach programs. In addition to newspaper, web and mass media advertising, Lisa also represents Comfort Keepers at all health fairs and conducts frequent visits to referral sources and clients.
