About Comfort Keepers® of Palos Hills, IL
Sydney Schmidt is a Registered Nurse, a CPR instructor through the American Heart Association and a Certified Senior Advisor. She workded as a visiting nurse for Medicare patients for many years. Seeing the need in many of her patients for assistance with activities of daily living such as hoursework, shopping, personal care, medication reminders and cooking, she and her husband Steve opened Comfort Keepers of Palos Hills in the beginning of 2003.
Steve and Sydney are committed to providing non medical home care to seniors and others needing assistance, with compassion and respect. Their goal is to assist people to stay comfortably and safely in their own home for as long as possible.
Sydney, using her nursing background, trains all the caregivers herself and certifies them in CPR. Extensive background checks are done on all caregivers and all caregivers are insured and bonded. Sydney makes sure all caregivers are honest, compassionate, dependable and professional.
Comfort Keepers of Palos Hills is licensed by the Illinois Department of Public health, is a member of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the National Private Duty Association, and has recieved an "A" rating by the better business bureau.
