About Comfort Keepers® of Dearborn & Garden City
Comfort Keepers of Dearborn & Garden City began serving clients in February of 2003 led by owners Jim & Judy Jones. In 2001 Jim was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, and it was his desire to leave Judy in a position where she could support herself while doing something she truly enjoyed...helping seniors. As they began researching businesses that provide services to seniors, Comfort Keepers stood out as the clear choice. Jim & Judy agreed that the Comfort Keepers mission statement "to provide our clients with the highest quality of life that is achievable" and to "treat each of our clients with the respect and dignity they deserve, as though we were caring for a member of our own family" was a philosophy that they wanted to embrace. Today, Judy and her staff still embrace that philosophy providing the best possible care for each of their clients.
The staff here at Comfort Keepers of Dearborn & Garden City is a very special family. Before joining the Comfort Keepers family each applicant undergoes a rigorous background and screening process. Only the best applicants with a real desire to help others are selected. Once selected they are trained to become a Comfort Keeper. Judy's Comfort Keepers cared for Jim during his final days. They have also cared for other friends and family of Judy and her staff. If Judy doesn't trust them to care for her family, they won't care for your family.
Judy's staff becomes very close to their clients and families. Whether it is the Comfort Keeper caring directly for the client, the office staff assisting in the care, or Judy herself; they truly care for each client like family. In November 2009 it felt like Judy lost a member of her own family when her very first client passed away after being a faithful, satisfied customer for six and a half years. Judy had become her advocate for health care services and even assisted with her personal affairs when the client's vision and health declined. Numerous other families have come to rely on Comfort Keepers to care for their loved ones, and you too can count on Comfort Keepers as your comforting solution for in-home care.
