Our Comfort Keepers Provide Unsurpassed In-Home Care

Comfort Keepers^® offers families the option to be as involved as they wish in their loved one’s in-home care. We strive to keep families fully informed about their loved one’s elder care. This includes online, password-protected access to current information on their loved one’s senior care status.

We offer a free in-home assessment to help prospective senior care clients and their families:

• Determine whether Comfort Keepers can provide them an effective solution for the in-home care needs they have.
• Create a plan of home care tailored to their specific needs.

The assessment also helps us match a client with the most appropriate Comfort Keeper, based on personality, location, care needs, and interests identified on profile sheets completed by clients and caregivers.  This matching is essential to Comfort Keepers’ success.

Each client’s elder care plan is reviewed on a regular basis so it can be revised to meet changing needs. To completely meet seniors’ care needs, Comfort Keepers has established a referral network of local health and senior care providers, including home health care, adult day care, nursing homes, rehabilitation programs, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and hospice.

Comfort Keepers’ Menu of Senior Care Services

Comfort Keepers of Plymouth & Braintree, Massachusetts, offers an array of in-home services that can be customized for each client and family, from just a few hours a week to full-time care. Services include:

• Personal Care, including hands-on assistance with bathing or showering, shaving, hair and skin care, toileting and incontinence care, feeding, help with mobility, and bed and chair transfers.
• Companionship Care, including companionship and conversation, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation, errands, and standby help with dressing and grooming.   
• Technology Devices that help assure the health and safety of a senior between visits by his or her professional or family caregiver. These devices include an emergency response system that summons help with the push of a button, and a medication management system that reminds seniors to take their medicine.
• Alzheimer’s and Memory Care provided by Comfort Keepers who are specially trained and experienced in the enhancing the quality of life of persons diagnosed with dementia.
• Post-Hospital Care and Support, which helps seniors and other adults recover at home after surgery, injury or illness.
• Hospice Care in which Comfort Keepers complement the skilled services of a hospice agency with personal and companionship care.
• Stroke Recovery, which provides clients help with the activities of daily living as they regain strength and function.
• Skilled Nursing is a service that distinguishes our Comfort Keepers office in Plymouth, Massachusetts, from the majority of in-home care providers, which provide only nonmedical services.
• Medication Administration, involves shots and pills directly administered to Comfort Keepers clients by our skilled nurses. This service is especially appreciated by hospice providers that we partner with.
• Geriatric Care, provided by our geriatric care manager, arranges for the complete care needs of our clients. This service is especially invaluable to seniors who need significant help and whose family lives far away. Collaborating with other senior care providers, the care manager coordinates clients’ medical care as well as other special needs, from obtaining a new bed, to feeding pets, to providing an advocate for medical appointments.
