  • Elder Care Technology through Lifeline®
  • 24/7 Services

Lifeline Technology: Providing Safety Through Technology

Some estimates say that up to 7 million Americans currently look out for an elderly loved-one from a distance (Family Caregiver Alliance). Lifeline® technology provides a way for caregivers to extend their reach as they provide safe elder care for seniors who live independently in their own homes.

Live-In Services

Sometimes it is not enough for a caregiver to visit a senior a few times a week or even for a few hours every day: some seniors need someone to look after them almost 24 hours a day. If a senior is at risk of falling, becoming dehydrated, missing meals or medication or needs constant care, a caregiver can provide convenient live-in services to ensure the safety of an elderly loved-one. An estimated 60% of all elders will hurt themselves by falling, and the majority of these falls happen at home. Live-in caregivers are there for seniors, helping them through everyday activities and working to prevent an elderly loved-one from ever experiencing a dangerous fall.

Elder caregivers can provide services for senior safety such as:

  • Special diet/meal preparation
  • Aid in bathing
  • Medication reminders
  • Behavior change observation
  • Mobility Assistance
  • And many, many more

Medication Reminders

A senior can put themselves in a great risk of harm by taking the wrong medication or taking an incorrect dose. Sometimes, especially in patients with Alzheimer’s or other Dementia-related health conditions, seniors forget to take their medication all together. Our Comfort Keepers are permitted to administer medication to seniors, so they can help each client by reading labels on medication bottles for seniors and by providing reminders for seniors when it is time for them to take their prescribed medication.
