OUR PHILOSOPHY AND MISSION:

To provide our clients with the highest level of quality of life that is achievable.

We shall treat each of our clients with the respect and dignity they deserve, as though we are caring for a member of our own family.

We offer a wide range of services tailored for each individual client including the duration of care, from a few hours to 24-7 care.  With Comfort Keepers, you are given the flexibility you need when planning your schedule.  We work closely with you and your family to create a program that provides a perfect balance of service and value.

Our Comfort Keepers are compassionate, caring, mature, responsible and honest.  They are the best in the industry!

You can take comfort knowing that prior to being hired, our employees have undergone a vigorous interview and selection process including investigation into their driving records, credit reports and criminal background.  After they have passed, they are required to attend orientation in which we share our philosophy and mission as well as instill the importance of customer service and adherence to policies and procedures.  All of our employees are bonded and insured.

Our approach to in-home care is called Interactive Caregiving. It is integral to how we care for seniors, elders, and other adults needing care. Research indicates that keeping seniors mentally, physically, emotionally and socially engaged helps them to enjoy a higher quality of life, retain better cognitive function, stay healthier and live independently for a longer period of time.
Offering a wide variety of in-home care services, Comfort Keepers tailors services to fit the specific needs of each client. We can alter the services as a client’s needs change, allowing the client to continue living comfortably, safely and independently at home for as long as possible. To further the effectiveness of our in-home senior care, we strive to match clients and caregivers with compatible personalities and interests. This makes for a beneficial client-caregiver relationship and the best in-home care experience possible.

Comfort Keepers’ selection of home care services includes:

  • Companionship care and Socialization
  • Personal care and hygiene assistance
  • Housekeeping and homemaking services
  • Incidental Transportation (shopping, errands and appointments)
  • Dementia and Alzheimer’s care
  • Rehabilitation care
  • Respite Care

To expand the range of services available to our clients, Comfort Keepers collaborates with a network of other senior care providers, such as home health care providers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers.

An Unique Care Plan Created for Each Client

In order for Comfort Keepers to design a care plan especially for each client we start with a free in-home consultation. We meet with the prospective client and family representatives to gain a full understanding of their needs and become familiar with the client’s personality, preferences and interests. Working with the client and family, we develop a uniquely appropriate plan of care. The information we gain in this meeting also helps us match the client with the most compatible caregiver. Our experience has proven that a good client-caregiver match leads to the best outcome and quality of life for the client.
Family members may choose to be as involved in their loved one’s care as possible. Comfort Keepers works as a partner with family caregivers, keeping family informed about changes we observe in their loved one and recommending changes in the care plan to allow the client to maintain a high quality of life and independence at home.

On a regular basis, Comfort Keepers reviews the home care plan of each client to measure its effectiveness in supporting independence by reviewing the elements of physical activity, social engagement, mental stimulation and emotional vitality. We have found that these elements combined will result in a better overall quality of life for our clients. We also review the performance of our caregivers, schedule periodic visits to clients’ homes, and gather feedback from clients and caregivers. Through these means, we strive to assure family members that their loved ones are receiving the best of care.

Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care

Comfort Keepers’ Memory Care program offers specialized in-home care for clients with Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Caregivers specially trained in Dementia and Alzheimer’s care, provide this service. The training prepares them with an in-depth understanding of how to communicate with, respond to, and care for persons with these conditions.

Memory Care clients are matched with caregivers who possess the training, skills and personality best suited to each client’s condition and circumstances. Memory Care can be scheduled for as little as a few hours a week to full-time. We also offer overnight care to provide family members the opportunity to rest for their own well-being and that of their loved one.

In-Home Technology Solutions

The following technology solutions are available through Comfort Keepers to extend and enhance the in-home care and senior care that our caregivers provide:

Comfort Keepers’ SafetyChoice™ Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) gives family members peace of mind around the clock that their loved one can live safely at home. With the PERS system, a Comfort Keepers client wears an emergency call button on a pendant or bracelet. By simply pushing the button the client instantly summons help in the event of a fall or other emergency. PERS units are monitored 24 hours a day at the SafetyChoice monitoring center by specially trained personnel who dispatch help. Calls also can go out to 911 and family members. PERS brings help in the critical minutes, reducing the severity of injury or illness.

The Comfort Keepers computerized tracking system (Telephony) helps assure that clients receive the best quality of senior care and service. The system e-mails family members a care schedule, informing them which caregiver will be caring for their loved one on a given day. In addition, the system alerts the Comfort Keepers office when a caregiver is more than fifteen minutes late for an appointment. A manager can then follow up on behalf of the client.

As our country’s elderly population continues to grow at a record pace, more and more senior citizens are choosing to age at home—that is, continue living independently for as long as possible in the comfort of their own homes, in their own communities near friends and favorite activities. Comfort Keepers specializes in quality in-home care, helping clients around the house with the activities of daily living, companionship, transportation, housekeeping and other needs. Supported in their desire to live independently at home, Comfort Keepers clients enjoy a higher quality of life, maintaining important connections with friends, family and community.
