About the Owner

Mike Painter is the owner of Comfort Keepers of Southeast Houston.  In 1998, Mike graduated from Texas Tech Law School and began his legal career with a prestigious Texas defense firm working primarily in health care litigation.  After assisting clients including hospitals, physicians, nurses and nursing homes, Mike decided to leave the legal profession in search of a career that would allow him to serve and assist the senior population of the Houston area.  This path led Mike to Comfort Keepers.

Mike is married to Marjorie Seber Painter, a Tomball native.  Marjorie is responsible for marketing, networking and meetings with clients.  Marjorie learned the benefits of providing individualized care while helping to care for her grandmother.  This led her to tailoring her undergraduate education at the University of Texas to college courses in physical health, social environments and mental health.  She earned a Texas Certificate in Gerontology prior to entering law school at Texas Tech Law School.  While in law school, she clerked with the Elder Law and Public Health Division of the Office of the Attorney General.  After completing law school, her career highlights included representing individuals seeking social security disability benefits, serving as a Guardian Ad Litem before Texas courts and working in the areas of estate palnning and probate matters.  Marjorie has spent countless hours volunteering with organizations focusing on area seniors.  Now that they have stepped away from the practice of law, Marjorie and Mike are very excited to focus their energies on serving area seniors, giving back to the community and spending time with their young boys, John Wyatt, age 5, and Travis, age 3.
