About Comfort Keepers®

of La Porte and Porter Counties

The La Porte and Porter County offices of Comfort Keepers were started in July 2002. The company was founded to meet the immediate and future needs for the services Comfort Keepers offers.  The La Porte and Porter County offices are under the ownership of Charles and Susan Moore, both lifelong residents of Northern Indiana.  

Charlie Moore has a background of 30 years in business management focusing on establishing and building relationships.  Sue Moore brings extensive experience as a school Speech/Language Pathologist.  Having dealt with the expanding needs of aging parents and being unable to personally tend to their day-to-day needs, Charlie and Sue realized the vast challenges of providing peace of mind and personalized care solutions for others in their situation.  They became committed to providing options to enable adults and seniors to remain safely and independently in the comfort of their home environments.  They screen, select and train “Comfort Keepers” as if they were to care for their own loved ones. 



Our Comfort Keepers office is actively involved with the following organizations: 

  •  Hoosiers Helping Home Care and Hospice

In addition to the above, their company is a provider for the local Area Agency on Aging, and in 2006 was named Caregiving Agency of the Year by REAL Services (Area 2 Agency on Aging).
