About Our Houston Senior Care
Selby Clark, owner and operator of the Comfort Keepers office located in the heart of Houston, Texas, earned an MBA from the University of Texas and worked in the corporate world after graduation. After several years he discovered he wanted something more in life. While he and his wife cared for her grandmother, he found what he was looking for. The experience gave Selby a sense of fulfillment as he enabled his wife’s grandmother to receive the care she needed in home rather than at an outside facility.
The experience also opened his eyes to the benefits of home care. There are numerous types of care available to seniors, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home health agencies. But in 2004, when he read in a magazine about the quality in-home and senior care services of Comfort Keepers, he found his calling and purchased a Comfort Keepers franchise in Houston, Texas.
Now, through Comfort Keepers, he provides many seniors and other adults the independence and quality of life he helped provide his wife’s grandmother.
The Comfort Keepers Team: Always Ready to Help
Throughout our organization, from our Comfort Keepers to our managers and owners, someone is always available to personally help clients and family members. Comfort Keepers is available 24/7 to answer your call and find the solutions you need. In addition to our Comfort Keepers, our team includes:
-
Client Care Coordinators, who provide free in-home consultations to help families determine if Comfort Keepers is right for them and to develop a plan of care to meet each client’s and family’s needs. They match clients with Comfort Keepers who have compatible personalities and interests to promote optimal outcomes. They also monitor quality of clients’ care and work with families to modify care plans as clients’ needs change.
-
Client Care Manager, who manages the office and develops networks and relationships with other senior care and health care providers (such as home health agencies, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities) so we can connect our clients and families with needed services that are not among Comfort Keepers’ specialties.
