Comfort Keepers® of Harrisburg, tailors in-home care services to provide the help seniors and other adult clients need to maintain independence and a high quality of life in the comfort of home.
We offer a free in-home consultation that helps prospective clients and their families determine if Comfort Keepers® is the solution for them. Through this consultation, we develop a customized plan of care that provides the level and schedule of services needed, ranging from just a few hours a week to full-time, 24x7 care.
We partner with families, allowing them to be as involved in their loved one’s care as they desire and are able. We keep families fully informed about their loved one’s care. Our caregivers—our Comfort Keepers®— provide families peace of mind, knowing their loved one is in capable, loving hands.
Senior care services include home care for elderly, as well as respite for spouses or family members of those suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's Disease.
Comfort Keepers® services include:
- Companionship - often provided for clients suffering from memory impairment, respite includes taking place of spouse who needs to leave home
- Meal preparation
- Transportation to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, to adult daycare, other commitments
- Light housekeeping and Laundry
- SafetyChoice® In-home safety technology - Personal Emergency Alert/medical alarm for when a loved one cannot dial a phone after fall or in an emergency
- Personal Care including showering, bathing and incontinence care
Comfort Keepers® is licensed by the state of PA to provide non-medical personal care and companionship services. Comfort Keepers, accepts the following forms of payments:
- Private Pay - services are billed at hourly rates. Please call us for rates and for minimum visit hours. There is no requirement for frequency of visits - services can be as minimal as once a month or three or four times a day. Service agreements require no minimum length of service.
- Long Term Care Insurance - Comfort Keepers accepts LTC insurance reimbursements from companies such as Genworth, John Hancock, Metlife, to name a few.
