About Our Home Care
Bill Enders opened the Beachwood and Ravenna, Ohio, Comfort Keepers franchise in 2005, providing in-home care services for seniors and other adult clients. He first discovered the value of in-home senior care when his mother began needing assistance with activities of daily living when she lived in an independent living facility.
After finding a caregiver to assist his mother on a daily basis, he began exploring in-home elder care as a possible career and business opportunity. His research led him to Comfort Keepers. He was impressed by Comfort Keepers’ distinctive brand of in-home care, Interactive Caregiving™, which engages seniors in their own care and promotes their well-being physically, mentally and emotionally.
He is rewarded every day as Comfort Keepers allows seniors to live healthier, fuller lives where they most want to be: at home.
The Comfort Keepers Connection
The Beachwood and Ravenna Comfort Keepers team focuses its efforts on helping seniors maintain a high quality of living in the comfort of their own homes—and assisting families in providing for their loved ones’ care and well-being.
We approach caregiving as a partnership with families. We allow families to take as active a role in their loved one’s care as they desire and are able. We know that some families live some distance from their loved ones. In these cases we play a greater role. Other families are more involved in day-to-day care. But in any case, Comfort Keepers supports families and stays in communication to keep them up-to-date on their loved one’s care and status.
Comfort Keepers offers respite care for families who are active in day-to-day elder care. Through respite care, a Comfort Keeper comes into the home as needed to allow the family caregiver to take time off from the responsibilities of caregiving – whether for just a few hours of rest, a vacation, to go to work, or to take care of other responsibilities.
