About Comfort Keepers® of the Greater Chicagoland Area
In 1998, our special-needs uncle lost his lifelong caregiver, his mom, to Congestive Heart Failure. Left with the responsibility of caring for uncle Denny, we interviewed home care companies by the dozens and even hired a few before finally finding satisfaction with Comfort Keepers. In very little time, it became obvious that Comfort Keepers was the answer to our uncle’s needs. In fact, we were so impressed with Comfort Keepers’ professionalism, compassion, and patience, our family decided to become Comfort Keepers!
In 2001, my sister, brother, father and I opened our Chicagoland Comfort Keepers office. Our dad, Bruce, has over 50 years of home medical care experience, serving Chicago and it’s suburbs through his neighborhood pharmacies; Bruce & Ken’s and his home medical care company, Ultra Care. With our father’s guidance, we have built a home care company that serves the non-medical needs of hundreds of families, including the care of our uncle Denny.
Today, my sister and I manage our business with the same care and attention that first brought Comfort Keepers to our attention. We continue to dedicate ourselves and our company to providing the best possible care to the families of northern Illinois. Together, with over 80 specially-trained caregivers and employees, we tailor our service offerings to the specific needs of our clients. From the fulfillment of simple household tasks to our exclusive Heart Healthy Support program, we provide a wide range of services designed to assist you in your day-to-day chores and care requirements.
As taught to us by our dad, our company is built on the foundations of caring for our neighbors and giving back to the community. To that end, our Comfort Keepers are actively involved in local and national charitable organizations and professional associations. This support includes our work with the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk, the Senior Citizen’s Services Coordinating Council, the National Private Duty Association, the DuPage County Association of Senior Service Providers, Aging Well, Continuity of Care, Women’s Initiative, the Senior Resource Alliance of Chicagoland, and many others. We are members in good-standing with the Chicago & Northern Illinois Better Business Bureau, and are active participants in the Life Services Network.
We are proud to be a fully-licensed Illinois Home Service Agency.
