Welcome to the Family Education Center

What do seniors and their families need to know to plan for life’s later years—and make the most of them? At Comfort Keepers® this concern is at the heart of our mission and passion: to help seniors enjoy as high a quality of life as possible in the comfort of their own homes.

Mike and Laura Pierce, CSAs, will be teaching a class: Aging Parents and Adult Children: a Two Way Conversation (course #HM01945) - July 14, 2010 from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm at Woodson High School.  The class is being taught through the Fairfax County Adult Education Program (ACE).  To register call 703-658-1216 or register online at www.aceclasses.org.  The cost of the class is $35.00.

In our Family Education Center, we share with you the knowledge we have gained through more than a decade of service to seniors and their loved ones. You will find valuable information on senior living options, including in-home care. We also offer suggestions on how to start talking with a loved one about his or her needs and care preferences, as well as financial and legal matters to consider in your planning. And family caregivers: be sure to read our recommendations on how to take care of your own needs. Your health and well-being are important too!

To help you learn even more, the Family Education Center also includes a directory of links to a wealth of online resources on senior health and care.
