Julia Anders
Hi, I’m Julia Anders. I am very proud to be a Comfort Keeper. My husband, Matt, and I launched our Comfort Keeper office in September 2001. We started with a handful of caregivers, and we have grown to a staff of close to 100, and we have a wonderful team of people who work with us in the office. All of us work hand-in-hand to provide the best care available for our clients. We consider it both an honor and a privilege to assist our clients with their in-home care. Oh, a little about myself. Matt and I have been married for 26 years, and we have a 25 year old son, Kyle, who lives and works in San Antonio, Texas. No grandkids yet, but I’m looking forward to it. I have my dog, though, who is like a kid. He is at the office with us every day. In fact, he even has a title; Director of Morale. I am an avid reader, and I love to play Bingo, and I also love to dance. My favorite thing about being a Comfort Keeper is being able to provide our seniors with genuine love and care. Anyone can be a care giver, but not everyone can be a Comfort Keeper. I would like for you to meet each member of our office team. Click on each of their pictures and listen as they share a little about themselves and why they love being a comfort keeper.
Matt Anders
Hi, I’m Matt Anders, and Julia and I have owned our Comfort Keepers franchise for 9 years. In fact, 4 years ago, we expanded and we now own two Comfort Keeper franchises. What I enjoy most about being a comfort keeper is the opportunity that we have to make a difference in the lives of others. It’s a huge responsibility and one that we do not take lightly. A little about me. I was born and raised here in Fort Wayne. I love hockey and have season tickets to the Komet games. My dream has always been to own a professional hockey team. Who knows, maybe someday.
Brenda Tunin
Hello, my name is Brenda Tunin, and I am a Comfort Keeper. I am the Director of Client Care for Comfort Keepers. I am also a registered nurse. I’ve been a nurse for 30 years. I have also been married for almost 26 years and have 3 wonderful sons. I enjoy scrapbooking, crafts, spending time with my son’s sports adventures. The favorite part about my job at Comfort Keepers is going out and meeting with prospective clients and their families. I have the opportunity to not only share about Comfort Keepers, but to also learn about them, their needs, and guide them towards a plan of care. Senior citizens have fabulous life stories, and I love to listen and learn from them. I’m proud to say that I am a Comfort Keeper.
Linda Smith
Hi friends, I’m Linda Smith, Client Care Coordinator at Comfort Keepers. I’ve worked with Julia almost from the beginning; joining the company in October of 2001. My job began as a care giver, as well as, helping in the office. Now 9 years later, I’m in the office full time and occasionally get the opportunity to care for a client in their home. It’s a joy to work with office staff and clients, as well as, care givers and helping seniors find a way to stay in their homes. I’ve been married to my husband, Mike, for 36 years and we have two daughters, a great son-in-law and delightful 3 year old grandson all who live in the Indianapolis area. I love shopping, playing Bingo, reading, and evening walks.
Holly Messman
Hello, my name is Holly Messmann, and I have been with Comfort Keepers for almost 2 years. My job here at Comfort Keepers is the Schedule Coordinator. I schedule all clients with care givers and make changes as needed to keep our clients and care givers happy, and I also step in and do care giving when needed. I will never forget my first week here. We had an ice storm. We made many phone calls, checking on our clients to make sure they had electricity and if they did not, we were making arrangements for them to go to family, friends or even hotels. That’s when I saw the heart this company has for seniors. We didn’t have to make those calls. We chose to make those calls. The best thing about my job is talking and listening to our clients’ stories about their lives. I am an Indiana State Certified EMT; been one for 15 years. I am married and have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandsons. I like watching and going to NASCAR races, and my husband and I love to go to Comet hockey games. Most of my weekends are spent with our children or grandsons.
Patricia Ansberry
Hi, my name is Patricia Ansberry. I have worked for Comfort Keepers for 1 year. My job is Payroll and Billing Specialist. When I was interviewing for this position, I have never wanted a job as much as this one. Helping seniors stay in their homes and helping them live comfortably was a company that would make me feel I was doing something worthwhile. I felt the staff was caring and giving as soon as I walked in the door. I am married to a wonderful man, raised two wonderful sons. I have eight grandchildren, and I love getting down to the grandkids’ level and playing all their games. Our new weekend fun is camping. The grandkids love to go with us, but once in a while we have to say, “Grandpa and Grandma only. I love to dance, read and play card games with our friends.
Patty Jasperson
Hi, I’m Patty Jasperson, the Human Resources and Special Projects Coordinator for Comfort Keepers and the newest addition to the office staff. I love my job working with a great group of care givers, clients, and a wonderful office staff. I enjoy coordinating fundraising efforts such as Stop Senior Hunger and Operation Christmas Child with our caring community of enthusiastic, supportive employees. I have known Julia, the owner, for 14 years. We were both teenagers when we met. I’m sure you believe that one! I have been happily married for more years than I can remember, and I have two beautiful children and two delightful grandchildren and a fantastic husband who comes from the old country. He is English so he doesn’t celebrate the 4th of July for us, and I love to read, race walk, shop and go to the theater, movies, musicals, and plays and travel. Especially to see the grandchildren in Florida.
