Anne Wilson, a Certified Senior Advisor, and her husband Jim, opened their Comfort Keepers office to serve North Central Illinois in June of 2001. They had been looking for in-home care for Anne’s mother, Ruth, and hadn’t found anything they felt comfortable with. Anne’s business is also her mission. She feels very strongly that people should be able to remain at home in a safe and comfortable manner.

Comfort Keepers is a world leader in providing in-home care for seniors, those recovering from illness and or injury, and adults of all ages who need assistance to stay in their own home. We at Comfort Keepers believe that high quality care comes from high quality caregivers and the excellent support of those caregivers from our office. We do thorough background checks and several interviews before we decide a caregiver is good enough to be a Comfort Keeper®. These Comfort Keepers are then bonded, insured, and trained to provide the best possible care. It is the Comfort Keeper Philosophy to only hire caregivers that we would feel comfortable caring for our loved ones. Anne’s mother lived to be 101 years old and had Comfort Keepers keeping her mentally active, and physically safe for the last 6 years of her life.
Our Services range from companionship/homemaker services to personal care which includes transfers, incontinence care and bathing. We can design a care plan that will provide for our clients needs with as little or as much time as is appropriate.
Families choose Comfort Keepers for different reasons. For some, it is for extensive care. For others they may need minimal assistance with activities of daily living to prevent accidents or exhaustion before they become issues. For family members who provide regular care, we can provide “respite care” to give them a much needed break.
