Comfort Keepers Services

The Coeur D’Alene Comfort Keepers office provides the following in-home care services

• Companionship Care, including friendly conversation, healthy meal preparation and light housekeeping, help with dressing and grooming, reminders to take medication, exercise and recreational activities, assistance with errands and transportation.   Companionship Care is like having a surrogate family member in the home for family relief.
• Personal Care, such as hair and skin care, shaving, hands-on help with bathing and showering, feeding, toileting and incontinence care, and assistance with mobility and transfers in and out of bed.
• SafetyChoice® Technology Devices, which provides peace of mind for seniors between a caregiver’s visits. These devices are monitored 24 hours a day at Comfort Keepers’ monitoring center. They include an emergency response system, which enables seniors to call for help with the push of a button in the event of an accident or medical emergency, and a medication management system that reminds seniors to take their medicine.  We are one of the largest installers and managers of emergency response systems in North Idaho..
• Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care provided by Comfort Keepers who have been specially trained to provide for the needs of clients diagnosed with dementia. Through Comfort Keepers’ special brand of caregiving, Interactive Caregiving, we help stimulate clients’ memories and mental processes to support a higher quality of living.
• End of Life Support/Hospice Care: We help our clients preserve their dignity and provide a quality of life that can only be achieved at home. Often used as a supplement to hospice care, our compassionate and caring End of Life Support offers a level of sensitivity, care, and support during especially emotional situations that is invaluable to the client and their families.
• Going Home with Comfort Keepers: When someone needs post-hospital support, transportation, and care, Comfort Keepers is the solution. We integrate services with local care providers, consult with your discharge planner, and do all the other things vital to make going home a more comfortable transition, including picking up medications, cleaning home, food shopping, meal preparation, and 24 hour care for safety if needed.  Persons recovering from a stroke and those recuperating from hip or joint replacement are just a few examples of the people we serve in this way.
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) assistance to support the in-home care of clients with breathing issues.
• Home Management Services: To accomplish anything needed for comfort and safety, rely on our network of professionals. From grab bars to medical equipment, from plumbers to attorneys, we have the relationships to make your life easier.

Our Client Care Coordinator serves as an advocate for our senior clients and manages our Continuing Quality Improvement Program to assure satisfaction and timely response to the needs and concerns of seniors and their families. Our Care Manager regularly reviews the performance of our caregivers to make certain they consistently provide quality care.
