About Our Home Care
The Coeur D’Alene Comfort Keepers® franchise is owned by Kat Vercruyssen and Jim Vercruyssen. Having seen her own grandparents move from one senior care facility to another, Kat knows the value of allowing seniors to continue living in their own homes where they are able to maintain vital social connections they have established over the years.
Kat and Jim are even more convinced than the day they started Comfort Keepers in north Idaho that it is the solution to helping families assure their loved ones a high quality of life in their senior years.
Comfort Keepers offers companionship and personal care services, as well as technology solutions that ensure peace of mind between a caregiver’s visits. To offer a complete in-home care solution for seniors and their families, Comfort Keepers has built partnerships with other health and senior care providers. These partners include home health agencies, independent living facilities, hospice, the Alzheimer’s Association, sellers of durable medical equipment, and senior living and senior support networks.
The Comfort Keepers Team
The administrative team of Comfort Keepers of North Idaho is focused on maintaining a highly skilled, compassionate team of caregivers, who deliver Comfort Keepers’ distinctive brand of in-home caregiving. We oversee the care they provide to assure quality, and we work with families to modify care plans to meet changing needs.
Staffing our phones 24 hours a day, seven days a week, we provide our clients and their families’ timely service. Our administrative team includes:
- Owners Kat and Jim Vercruyssen, who direct the franchise’s operations and market Comfort Keepers services in the community, they develop and maintain partnerships with other senior and health care providers so Comfort Keepers can offer clients and their families a complete senior care solution.
- Community Relations Director Jonie Anderson provides a constant link between the needs of our local seniors and the ever changing services offered. Jonie provides free in-home assessments and is always available to answer questions.Community Relations Silver Valley Tracy Meligan represents Comfort Keepers in the Silver Valley and can answer questions about services in here local area.
- Care Manager Penny Banks directs our care staff and insures that our clients receive the highest level of integrity and compassion from our Comfort Keepers. Penny also handles all billing services.
- Care Coordinator Nicole Angel insures that each client receives personal attention and that each and every concern that a client may have is addressed and/or resolved.
- Staff Nurse Char Weaver reviews client intakes and modifications to a client’s plan of care that would require a RN approval. Char also provides ongoing training of our Comfort Keepers staff on medical issues related to seniors and the disabled.
- Scheduler Debbie Corradini prepares schedules and assigns caregivers. Deb also handles changes to client and caregiver schedules as required.
- Human Resource Specialist Kim Cilley handles hiring and compliance issues with our Comfort Keepers.
