Together Rocky and Diane are dedicated to selecting a caregiver based on their compatibility with a client to ensure the best possible match. Our caregivers are carefully selected through a thorough interviewing process including national background checks along with personal and professional references. They are trained specially to provide an interactive care solution for our clients. Our special caregivers, called Comfort Keepers® strive to create an environment where our clients minds are stimulated to help them remain sharp and involved, which also helps them maintain a positive outlook on life. Keeping our seniors engaged in activity, whatever the specific activity is of interest to them, is key to creating a sense of purpose, control over their lives and helps to ward off depression, as well as enhancing their physical wellbeing. Our caregivers participate two in-services twice a year along with specialty training such in  Hospice Awareness, Alzheimer Awareness, and Elder Abuse. 
 
Comfort Keepers of Pinellas County, offers not only offers in-home services, such as companionship, homemaking, and personal care, but the following as well:
 
  • SafetyChoice® by Comfort Keepers – In-home Care Technology provides an added dimension to help people live safely at home. Safety Choice compliments our in-home care services with around the clock monitoring so you know that help is available. These devices include a Personal Emergency Response system (PERS), which allows seniors to call for help 24 ours a day with the touch of a button, a fall detector, that clips to a client’s clothing in the event of a fall and a Medication Management System that serves as a reminder for clients to take their medications. The drugs are dispensed as prescribed and alerts the caregiver if a dose is not taken.
  • Alzheimer’s/Dementia care provided by Comfort Keepers who have completed specialized training to learn warning signs and symptoms.
  • Hospice care which includes in-home services provided to support families and clients to complement care provided by hospice agencies.
  • Elder Abuse Training teaches caregiversabout the complexities of elder abuse and neglect in the home setting.
