Comfort Keepers® Have a Heart for Senior Care
The quality of Comfort Keepers in-home care surpasses that of other providers’ services because of the careful attention we take in recruiting, screening, selecting and training caregivers.
In recruiting Comfort Keepers—which is what we call our compassionate caregivers—we look specifically for people who have a genuine concern for the well-being of seniors—the kind of people we’d like to have caring for our own parents. They have the gift and heartfelt desire to uplift the quality of life of seniors as they help them continue living as independently and safely as possible in the comfort of home, for as long as possible.
Comfort Keepers consider senior caregiving to be far more than a job. It is their calling in life. Our attention to selecting the right people pays off, as we maintain an unmatched 95 percent caregiver retention rate. Because of this, we offer consistent, quality care that you can depend on day in and day out. Comfort Keepers

are committed to making senior care their profession.
Ninety percent or more of our caregivers come to us with experience in providing senior care. But because Comfort Keepers caregiving is unique among in-home care providers, we provide Comfort Keepers extensive training in our style of care. Comfort Keepers encourages seniors to play an active role in their own caregiving to enhance their physical, mental and emotional health.
Comfort Keepers complete hands-on training to fully prepare them for any situation they may encounter with their clients. We also provide training that is condition- or illness-specific, to prepare Comfort Keepers to fully understand and meet the needs of clients they will be serving. For instance, Comfort Keepers who care for persons with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia-related condition will receive training specific to their unique needs.
Matching Comfort Keepers and Clients
Another secret to the success and effectiveness of Comfort Keepers elder care is how we match Comfort Keepers with clients, based on a variety of variables. From assessments of clients we make the matches based on personality and common interests, as well as clients’ special needs and caregivers’ specialized training and skills.
Comfort Keepers Are Our Employees
We have greater control in assuring the quality and performance of our caregivers, as they are our employees and not contracted service providers. A supervisor accompanies a Comfort Keeper on their first day with a new client. We also provide ongoing assessments to assure that the caregiver-client partnership is working to the satisfaction and benefit of the client.
Before being hired, Comfort Keepers must pass extensive background checks. They are bonded, insured and covered by Workers' Compensation insurance to protect clients and their families. In addition, we take care of Comfort Keepers’ payroll taxes.
