Complete Senior Care Services & Solutions
Comfort Keepers® of Ann Arbor customizes in-home care plans to meet the specific needs of each client and family—providing from as few as three or four hours of service a week to full-time, 24/7 senior care.
We partner with family caregivers to give them the peace of mind that their loved one’s needs are being fully met, even when they can’t be with them. They count on us to provide the kind loving attention that they themselves would provide. And to make sure family caregivers take care of themselves and get needed rest, we offer respite care. Through this service we schedule Comfort Keepers to allow family caregivers to take time off—or to take care of other responsibilities.
Our wide range of in-home senior care services are built upon Comfort Keepers’ unique brand of caregiving: Interactive Caregiving®. Through Interactive Caregiving®, Comfort Keepers actively involve clients in caregiving activities and provide them many opportunities to stay active physically, mentally and socially to maintain optimal health.
Since 2001, Comfort Keepers of Ann Arbor has provided quality, loving, in-home senior care for families just like yours. We work with families to develop a plan of care that provides just the right combination of services to promote your loved ones' independence, in-home safety and quality of life:
Companionship Care – As they provide seniors companionship and conversation, Comfort Keepers also assist their clients with a variety of household tasks, such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, grocery shopping and recreational activities, medication reminders and transportation.
Personal Care – These services preserve clients’ dignity and quality of life as Comfort Keepers assist them with personal hygiene, toileting and incontinence care, transferring and positioning, mobility, skin care and feeding.
Private-Pay Nursing – While Comfort Keepers is not Medicaid/Medicare certified, we have nurses who can help manage clients’ chronic health conditions to help them avoid complications and hospitalization.
SafetyChoice® In-Home Technology Solutions – These include a variety of devices that supplement caregiving services, helping assure the well-being and safety of seniors between caregiver visits. These devices, monitored 24/7 at Comfort Keepers’ central monitoring facility, include a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS), which allows seniors to alert help with the push of a button when they become ill or have an in-home accident, and a Medication Management System, which reminds clients to take their medication as prescribed. Through our “The First Day Home Program” we offer free installation and free service of SafetyChoice® devices for the first 30 days.
Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care – Promotes the quality of life and in-home safety of clients who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other dementia-related conditions. This kind of care is provided by Comfort Keepers who have completed special training.
Hospice Support – Comfort Keepers supplement the care provided by hospice nurses with companionship and personal care services. These services promote a client’s dignity, comfort and quality of life.
Post-Hospital Care and Support – Provides seniors and other clients caregiving services that support their recovery at home following a hospital stay for surgery or treatment of an illness or injury.
Transportation – This important service promotes the freedom and independence of seniors who no longer drive. Comfort Keepers make sure they arrive on time for medical appointments, grocery shopping, church, visits with friends, and cultural and social outings.
