In-Home Care for Seniors in Kettering, Ohio
Comfort Keepers®, the leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults, began in the Miami Valley more than a decade ago. Kris Clum, owner of the Kettering Comfort Keepers office, co-founded Comfort Keepers when she discovered, as a registered nurse, that many of her patients needed—in addition to medical care—assistance with the activities of daily living.
Their children weren’t always available to help, busy with work and their own families. Kris believed that with the help of a reliable, quality in-home care agency these individuals could continue living safely and healthfully in their own homes.
Since then, Comfort Keepers’ success has expanded to more than 550 locations across the U.S. and other countries—including the four Miami Valley/Greater Dayton area Comfort Keepers offices owned and operated by Kris.
Our talented, compassionate caregivers, Comfort Keepers®, serve clients and their families as trusted partners, providing the exceptional care they would expect for their own loved ones. They tailor a wide range of high quality in-home care services to meet each individual’s specific needs—from companionship and homemaking services, to personal care and technology solutions, to respite care to relieve family caregivers.
Comfort Keepers often collaborates with other Dayton area care providers, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health care agencies, and hospice care, to provide clients and families a comprehensive care solution. In addition to seniors, Comfort Keepers cares for other adults who need help around the home: new moms, individuals recovering from surgery, accidents or an extended illness, and others with specific in-home care needs.
Comfort Keepers’ goal is simple: to allow individuals to enjoy the highest possible quality of life in the comfort of home.
About Our Staff
Comfort Keepers—as we refer to our compassionate, professional caregivers—set us apart from other in-home senior care providers. To them, caregiving is more than a job—it’s a joy!
All of our Comfort Keepers pass a rigorous screening process. It includes criminal background and motor vehicle record checks, random drug and alcohol screenings, and personal and business references. They also complete thorough interviews and testing, as well as extensive orientation, training, and professional development. And every year Comfort Keepers complete continuing education and training to maintain excellence.
As another special Comfort Keepers touch, our Client Care Coordinators carefully match each client with a Comfort Keeper who has similar personality traits and interests. This often leads to deep and enduring friendships that further the well-being of our clients.

STOP Senior Hunger Campaign a Success

Comfort Keepers of the Miami Valley came together in the month of December to collect more than 1425lbs. of food through the STOP Senior Hunger food drive for local seniors in need during the holiday season.
"We asked our office staff and Comfort Keepers (caregivers) to make food donations to help local seniors and raise awareness of the growing epidemic of senior malnutrition, and they came through with open arms," said Ann Jauss, Community Relationship Manager in Kettering/Beavercreek. "We will be able to help our senior neighbor's live healthy, independent lives by getting the food and nutrition they need."
The Comfort Keepers locations in the Miami Valley are planning another STOP Senior Hunger food drive in the month of May. If you or your company would like to join our efforts please contact us. For more information on the local STOP Senior Hunger campaign, lease contact your local Comfort Keepers office at 937-299-5555.
