Serving Our Seniors
“The oldest trees often bear the sweetest fruit.” The wisdom found in this German proverb holds deep truth for it is our elderly who possess the nuggets of life which can sway the future. Our goal is preserve those nuggets.
The Administration on Aging estimates that, out of roughly 106 million USA households existing in 2003, more than 22 million (or roughly one in five) were providing informal care to one or more elderly persons. As healthcare continues to excel, the life expectancy rate also improves. Americans are living longer. The result is a growing need for eldercare and it presses on the minds of loved ones.
“Real caregivers are a unique breed. They possess gifts that reach beyond physical care, extending to matters of the heart, compassion and a deep-rooted, nurturing. Their shoulders are broader, insight keener and their encouragement is stronger,” says Linda Bambino, operations manager of Comfort Keepers.
“As the continuing care of our aging adults becomes a reality, the need for individuals trained in “tender-care” touches more and more families. There is security in trusting the day-to-day needs of family members to individuals who genuinely care about their work.”
Comfort Keepers strives to employ individuals with a passion and love for the elderly. The agency remains diligent to provide clients with the highest quality of life and dignity achievable during their golden years. By providing individuals assistance with the basics of life, such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation and daily living skills, seniors are able to remain at home to thrive in an environment where they are safe and happy.
