Comfort Keepers® The Premier Provider of In-Home Care in the Greater Cincinnati Area

"Our goal is to help people achieve the highest possible level of independent living. If you know someone who would benefit from compassionate, experienced, and dependable home care, please tell us. We’re here to help."

What Separates Comfort Keepers® From Other Home Care Providers?

Personal Commitment

When Ron Rosenberg, owner of one of the Cincinnati Comfort Keepers senior care franchises, had an ailing father who needed in-home care, he found that bringing in outside help was a difficult but important decision. How do you choose the person to provide senior care for someone you love so much? Because of his personal experience, Ron vowed as a Comfort Keepers franchisee to provide the type of compassionate, competent, and trustworthy in-home care to others that he would want for his own family.

The other franchisees of the local Cincinnati offices—including Mike McGee, Chris Disimile, and Mike Ingram—could share similar experiences of having to care for a family member, and how that impacted their own vision of how to provide in-home care to others with similar needs. If you or a loved one is interested in home care, we will work with you to provide the best possible senior care solution. At Comfort Keepers, we are committed to the type of elder care, senior assistance, and extensive in-home services that not only meet your needs, but also provide security and peace of mind to everyone involved.

We’ll tailor a program to meet your specific situation, working as few or as many hours as you require. We have relationships with local organizations in Cincinnati, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, and home health agencies, with whom we collaborate to implement the best care plan. By overseeing all aspects of home care, and with the experience that comes with years of compassionate service, Comfort Keepers will help you or your loved one achieve the highest possible level of independent living.

Compassionate Senior Caregivers

To ensure that each person receives the in-home care they deserve, Comfort Keepers has a unique team of people on staff to care for each client on a person-to-person basis. It starts with the franchisees, who enjoy giving back to the community by serving the elderly population and anyone else who may benefit from home care. Comfort Keepers will provide a free in-home needs assessment by our trained and experienced Care Coordinators and work with you to design a customized plan to ensure those needs are met. In addition, we always have someone available on staff to answer your phone calls, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

But it’s really our senior caregivers—we call them Comfort Keepers®—who have the most direct impact on our clients. To provide you and your loved ones the peace-of-mind you deserve, each Comfort Keeper must undergo a rigorous screening process, including employment background checks, local and national criminal checks (done annually), drug screening, as well as social security and educational checks. We take personality and character into consideration, and require each Comfort Keeper to complete multiple hours of orientation and training before they ever step foot into a client’s home, in addition to the hours of Interactive Caregiving™ training they receive each year.

Perhaps the biggest difference between other senior care providers (including assisted living facilities, home health agencies, and nursing homes) and Comfort Keepers is the genuine desire we have for helping others. We’ll work with you to understand the type of personality you feel most comfortable with, and you’ll notice the difference in senior assistance from the very first meeting. As the person responsible for meeting your in-home care needs, our Comfort Keepers are well-trained, professional, trustworthy, and competent. We look for people who have a heart to serve, who enjoy making life better for our clients, and who feel that what they do isn’t just a job—it’s a joy! It’s what separates us. It’s why we call ourselves Comfort Keepers.

Home Care Services

Whether you are a new mom who needs additional at-home assistance, a family member who’s loved one could benefit from compassionate senior care, or someone in a situation who could benefit from a helping hand around the house, Comfort Keepers of Cincinnati is here to help. We’ll work with other outside organizations (such as nursing homes, home health agencies, hospice, and assisted living facilities) to provide a comprehensive home care solution, working around the clock to help our clients live independent and full lives within the comfort of the their own homes.

If you live in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, our offices provide these and other in-home senior care services:

Companionship Care
Companionship caregiver services include light housekeeping, meal preparation, recreational activities, incidental transportation, friendly conversation, and medication reminders.

Personal Care
Personal care entails hands-on service for those who could use assistance with mobility, bathing, positioning, transferring, toileting, hygiene, and feeding.

Respite Care
Respite Care is designed for those individuals or families who could use outside help to provide a break (or “respite”) from the normal stress associated with taking caring of an aging loved one.

Post-Hospital Care
For those who require in-home assistance after having a medical procedure, Comfort Keepers provides post-hospital care to help you with the tasks associated with everyday living. Comfort Keepers will team up with skilled care agencies to care for individuals who are managing a variety of post-hospitalization challenges, including clients who have suffered a stroke or heart attack.

Medication Management
Approximately 40% of people entering nursing homes do so because they are unable to self-medicate in their homes; in addition, 30% of all hospital admissions for people over age 65 are directly attributable to medication mismanagement.  Our Medication Management System simplifies the sometimes complicated process of organizing and dispensing prescription medications by providing reminders for each dose through voice and visual reminders, and dispatches an alert if a dose is missed.

Alzheimer’s Care/Dementia Assistance

Our caregivers are specially trained to effectively assist those who face the difficulties of Alzheimer's and dementia-related disease.  Our Interactive Caregiving philosophy of care is a holistic way of delivering compassionate care that encompasses physical activity, mental stimulation, social engagement and emotional health that can genuinely change a person's life.

Personal Emergency Response System (PERS)
For seniors and other adults who could benefit from having an emergency call response readily available to them with just the push of a button, Comfort Keepers offers a personal emergency response system, or PERS (we call ours Safety Choice™).
