For more than seven years, Comfort Keepers®, has provided vitally needed, quality of life, in-home care to the elderly and others needing long, or short term, help in the comfort of their own homes. Our service is provided with a minimum of disruption in the daily routines of our clients or that of other family members. We are trained and experienced in the special needs of dementia and Alzheimer's clients.
Herndon operations extend into Reston, Vienna and Falls Church. Our Arlington office services the entire county.
We are licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Home Health Care Agency and we employ a full time Registered Nurse (RN) who trains, supervises, and monitors the service provided by our staff of highly motivated and compassionate caregivers. All caregivers, or CNA's, are carefully screened, undergo a background investigation, and undergo intense training courses. This is followed by four hours of validation and competency testing each year. To stay current, each CNA is also required to complete a minimum of twelve hours of approved job related continuing education each year.
The type and extent of services we provide are tailored to the needs of each of our clients in coordination, when appropriate, with family members, so all concerns can be addressed. We provide a
full range of services from part time, full time, to 24/7 service when required. Our full time HR Administrator, also an LPN, continually monitors our caregivers' performances and the adequacy of the services provided so that modifications can be recommended in a timely manner.
Comfort Keepers utilizes a
unique, on site, home survey to determine what changes in the home may be needed to make it more compatible with the needs of the client's limitations. We recently organized a
Community Advisory Board which will provide guidance to the staff on such topics as county services, fitness, diet, travel, recreation, hobbies, internet services, home offices, security systems and mental health.
We have a continuing need for part-time and full-time caregivers to include weekend and evening Companionship assignments throughout our serviced area. Check our job opportunities page for current openings. Most importantly, feel free to call us, without obligation, to discus any in-home care services you, your elders, or disabled relatives may need. We will design, without cost, an in-home support program to meet your special needs.
Our Community Advisory Board:
Comfort Keepers management keeps abreast of the special needs and concerns of its clients by listening to the advice and counsel of its advisory board. These experts have first-hand knowledge of the community being served by Comfort Keepers, Herndon and can recommend significant constructive improvements in the scope and effectiveness of the services provided.
